Watch Out!
January 21st, 2010
As I awoke this morning, my clock that shines on the ceiling said 5:51. I felt a presence of the Lord come over me, and I asked Him, “what does that number mean?” The response seemed to be the fifth book, fifth chapter, first verse. So I turned to Deuteronomy 5:1. Awesome, the Ten Commandments! That’s good Lord, do you want me to teach on that? Then I thought maybe it was the fifth book of the New Testament so I turned to Acts 5:1.
As I read about Ananias and Sapphira talking with the Apostle Peter and the selling of their land, and the “lying not to man but to God” (v4). Obviously Peter and maybe others were told that if Ananias sold his land, he would give it to the church. As I read this passage I felt like the Lord was saying to all of us, “watch what you pray for and ask for”. There are conditions to receiving the blessing and favor of the Lord.
We have entered into a time where great favor will start pouring out to the worthy ones. But great disaster will fall on people who have “promised” that if the Lord sells this for them, they will……if the Lord will bless them in business they will……if the Lord will heal them they will……if the Lord will help them, then I will……???
Watch out what you promise the Holy Spirit…..watch out when you say “the Lord told me…..” We are in the “season” where grey areas are disappearing…..don’t put words in the “mouth” of God…..and do not “promise” anything that you will not do, especially if He blesses you financially!
The Lord is looking for the “Kingdom” mentality to rule on this earth in you, me, and especially HIS church! ”If you are obedient with a little, much will be given.”
It’s time like never before, that we must be obedient to Him…..stand on His Word…..honor each other……and live lives with integrity! Then ask, and receive……to give away……to receive more
Look forward to seeing you at wind word church Saturday night, or download the podcast here.
Be Blessed,
Brent Borthwick
