I was contemplating a thought this morning, and I feel an answer came to me.

“Remember, we fight from victory…”

We need to remember that through Jesus Christ’s resurrection, He gave us victory over every negative attack or sin.
We are not fighting for Victory… it has already been won for us. Instead you must look at life, everything you are going through, and realize that since we are fighting from victory, then we will carry and release victory into every situation we are in… The “situation” is crying out for the victory, that’s why it is a situation. It’s crying for the victory you carry through Jesus name in your life.

Hope to see you at Windword in our new building! Check out www.windword.ca

Be Blessed, and live victorious… We win…together!!

Here is a thought that I was pondering as I head off to Stacey Campbell’s prophetic round table for the young reformers:

“Many things you think (hear) are never to be spoken”

At first I was thinking about it prophetically, which for any prophetic people out there…this should become a statement to implement in your life:)
So much of what you “hear” is for a purpose that might never be spoken about. “Hearing” is not a promotional status symbol, but instead a humbling understanding that God is speaking to you… someone… for a purpose that might not be for your receipt of acknowledgment. That many things you hear are to give you understanding of how to pray and love people… not to condemn them to justify your gift.

As I seem to be getting a little older year after year, I am realizing that this thought should become a silent statement that I need to live by, not just prophetically… but everyday of my life should model this. We need to not get wrapped up in meaningless conversations that do not bring God the Glory, but instead live in our God given identity and use our tongue to praise Him and encourage and exhort each other… to love.
“Knowing something about someone else is quite often a test to see how quiet you keep it… so you can show them Jesus in you” shhhh, until it’s the timing of God

Much Love, Brent

“Sometimes words will never explain you! So quit trying.” – Brent Borthwick
How much time do people take just trying to explain themselves to others? When we don’t always feel accepted, we spend so much time stressing about what people think of us, or what we think they might think…
When the one person we truly need to “impress” is God!
Maybe some people don’t like the word “impress” God, then how about make Him “proud”?

OK…before we all get worked up on theological premises, let me reword it again.

If God is our Father, then we are His “son’s” (children). How much He must love us, and wants to see us prosper in His call for our lives, then how much a son wants his father to be proud of him…to trust him, believe that he can do what his father desires of him.

When my son Justin is playing baseball and he knows I’am watching…how much he wants to “impress” me, or make me proud of him:)

But you see, the love I have for my son and daughters, I’am impressed and proud of them before anyone else is… even when they were in Sharon’s womb, I’d pray with them, love on them, kiss them, and promise things to them. They love me, but I first loved them, and nothing can ever change that.

Father is proud of you!! Don’t let other peoples opinions, statements, or self hurts destroy you from playing ball with your Dad:)
Batter up…it’s time to hit a home run for Him:) He IS proud of you…live in His love:)

Blessings, Brent

Sometimes we get so wrapped up in all the “stuff” going on in our lives, that our life seems to be a big drama. The “stuff” starts to become the center focus in us, and we start to loose sight of the real destiny God created for us.

Remember, you are not created to be a drama queen (queen of drama), but instead you are expected to be a queen or king of the “territory” in your life…the areas the devil has tried to steal from you…you are to “rule” them with the royalty of God’s Kingdom.
Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit give you the authority and power to be over-comers, to take out the drama and replace it with destiny:)

You are son’s and daughters of God, and Jesus is the King of King’s, and the Lord of Lord’s. Don’t let the devil con you out of your rulership!

Destiny…it’s yours…take it!
Hope to see you at Windword:)

Life…what is it?
If I try to answer this question fully, it would take my lifetime to try. And then in Heaven I would probably find out that my destiny during life was to not figure it out…but instead put my trust NOT on my own understanding, but put my trust in God!
Heaven will definitely open our eyes…so… is heaven at hand? Can you see?

Here is my quote for the week:
“Your life is but a moment in eternity, but yet God created eternity for what you do in life.”

What if God didn’t create your life to change eternity, but instead created eternity to justify your life?
Imagine if eternity was created for what you do here on earth? That your life is but a fleeting moment… and how you spend eternity is directly connected to how you do life now!
Think of it, your choices in life will write your eternity. Hmmm…kinda humbling!
I bet if we truly understand this point, we might all “look” different in what we do and say today.
Be encouraged, we serve a God that absolutely LOVES you:) And you are destined to be over-comers and live in victory… for LIFE!

Hope to see you at Windword this week! Many Blessings, Brent Borthwick

As I’m flying over Northern California enroute to San Franciso then on the Mexico City, I was thinking about a scripture that was given to me for this trip…Joshua 6. I feel that walls are coming down.
When we are obedient to the exact instructions from the Lord, we are assured of victory.
Now many of the Israelites would have been tired, maybe even sick or in physical pain from walking, waring… But they still listened to the true appointed man of God, Joshua, who heard the voice of the Lord.
No matter how the Israelites felt, sore, tired, sick, they marched exactly as the Lord said, and the walls came crashing down.
So my thought for today is this:

“Do you really have pain, or is it the teaching of response?”

Does the physical world dominate the supernatural? No, it’s the supernatural that dominates the physical!!

When we are so in love with Jesus and being obedient to serve Him, our physical state should never dominate our supernatural destiny…healing…love.

I would implore you today to live in the knowing that God’s love for you is so much that He never wants a few aches and pains (walls) to “take you out” of His love and will. And while you or I experience some “pains” in life, look at them as a way of God teaching us how to respond…to know that we need Him…His healing power in our lives, and to be obedient to His instructions. Maybe if we never had a need, we might question if we need Him?

He created you and I to need Him and love Him. Let’s not let “pain” destroy our ears to hear, or eyes to see…our healing, our victory.

Walk as though you are healed…because you are…in victory! And as you walk in victory, keep contending for you needs! When the walls come down, the plunder of the gold and silver is ready!

Please pray as we minister in Mexico City this weekend…the walls are coming down!!

Much love, Brent Borthwick

God never fails you, only you failing God…but then is it really your failure, or is it God teaching you?
As I was pondering this thought today, I felt to write it to you. We must not focus on past wrongs; how we might have failed, but instead look to what can be learned from the experience of the past. We have the option to turn it to positive testimony by learning through everything.
So be encouraged today!! God never fails you…and He sure does love you:)

I want to encourage some of you today.
Whatever your struggle is, God loves you. He will never leave you or forsake you. The enemy wants us (or someone) to beat ourselves up over some things that we might have done wrong in life…to continue remembering the “wrongs” instead of walking in forgiveness.

But nowhere do I find that a Biblical understanding. The scripture continually talks of God’s unmerited forgiveness for us. Through His Son Jesus Christ, by the blood that was shed on the cross, by His resurrection 3 days later. He gave us unmerited forgiveness…for ever!

We need to truly walk in forgiveness. Sometimes for us to understand that, we must forgive others that have wronged us. Not by accepting what they did or said, but by forgiving them and not holding on to the pain.
God has forgiven us; now let’s walk through life in forgiveness for our own wrongs and for the wrongs of others…Grace:)

I leave you with this thought: “God is always good, even when your not.”

Our struggles should never be with who we think God is. Our struggles usually come by someone not being obedient to His Word…and not living in His love.
Let’s love one another…as Christ loves His church.

*Remember to register for our Voice of Thunder conference!! Sergio Scataglini and my self will be ministering. The conference is September 16-17, 2011.
Sergio will also be ministering at Windword September 18th at 10:00 am.
You can register online at www.windword.ca or call 1(604)302-2800
It’s gonna be powerful!!

One of the greatest attacks of the enemy is trying to convince you of who you are not. The devil will try to tell you that you are useless, you have no power, no one loves you, you are poor.
Those are all lies!! The devil is a liar, and I feel a strong conviction to tell you that today!

God says that He loves you more than anything else…that you are a son…that He owns the cattle on 1000 hills, and He is not poor…nor does He think you are! He loves you soooo much today, yesterday, and forever…He will never leave you or forsake you…and His love will never fail you.

I tell you what church, let’s live in the understanding of God’s love for us, and the knowing that we are sons and daughters of the King…and that makes us Kingdom Royalty!

“Lack or abundance of money can never give you your true identity.”

“Living like your poor is false humility, but living as a Prince or Princess is Kingdom reality.”

“It’s a heart attitude…let’s make sure our hearts are right.”

Hope to see you at Windword this Sunday at 10:00 am…got something driving in my bones to share:)

Lots of love, Brent

I woke up this morning praying, and got a sense of some big changes needed in the near future. Some big decisions with leaders of our…church’s, cities, and nations.
I feel that these decisions will either hasten revival, or slow it. That Biblical unity is a choice we make, but it actually is not a choice in scripture…it is a mandate. We need to seek God’s wisdom in it, and not our own understanding.

Break the ruts That hold us in bondage, and join arm and arm to help each other stand.
We really are “stronger” when we are together!!

This thought came to me this morning:
“Repentance for what is needed, wisdom to know what to do, and grace to do it wisely.”

I believe it is time to increase in our lives this next thought the Lord gave me:
“Dying to ones self is living to God’s word.”

We must die to self, to really understand Biblical unity. It can’t just be memorizing His word…but also living it…in Love:)

This is our opportunity church!! Let’s go for it together…and see the great things God has destined for our obedience:)

Blessings, Brent

PS Hope to see you all at Voice of Thunder conference September 16-18, 2011 at Windword. We have Sergio and Kathy Scataglini speaking. It’s gonna be amazing!!
